June’s 10 on 10 | Seaside Edition

This month’s 10 on 10 is a little different than the others I have shared. Instead of showing you various shots from the past month, I am going to share a few from our recent trip to Seaside, FL.  Of course, these are not all of my snapshots from our trip, but they are some of my favorites. I hope to share some more when I have a chance to edit them, as well as the extended family session I did while down there (already edited – coming soon!).

Lots of ocean & beach fun was had, of course. We caught seashells as they washed in with the tide, played in the waves, built sandcastles, & had such a wonderful time! We also had the opportunity to meet up with friends, both old & new, to visit & play for a bit! It was a truly wonderful vacation – filled with laughter & fun!

A glimpse into our family vacation in Seaside…

As a photographer, I had to attempt a proper photo session with my own children. And everytime I do, I leave wondering, “what was I thinking?!” haha! I did come out with a few keepers, though. I am sure there will be a few more once I get a chance to go through the rest. Some of my favorites (one with me, too, courtesy of my husband!)…

Be on the lookout for more beach posts, as well as the Ryckman family session that will be up soon.

Now, head on over to Heather of Little Birdie Photography’s blog to see what she has posted for her 10 on 10!

Colie - Great beach images Tracey!

Kellie - Oh I posted my 10 on from the Atlantic coast…the gulf is by far so extremely very much more beautifully gorgeous!!
These are so bright & delightful.

jess - Great beach shots! The light in these is fabulous!

Betty Berg - I love every single one of these, Tracey!

10 on 10 | Knoxville TN Family Photography

It’s that time again – 10 on 10 blog circle with the talented ladies of Light Inspired!

Want to see what my family & I have been up to this past month?

The really big exciting news in our house is that little miss added a new shiny accessory to her wardrobe…

a cute little pair of glasses!

{you can see more of that experience here}

LOTS of playtime, as usual…
We have had a lot of rain lately, but when it is sunny, we make it a priority to head outside to burn some of that never-ending energy my kids seem to possess!

A little healthy shopping…

Little miss insisted on pushing her own cart & filling it up instead of the large one! It was getting pretty heavy & difficult for her to push toward the end.

We also enjoyed a visit to Great Grandma Southerland. She seemed to really love seeing the kids & the kids her!

Oh, & we cannot forget the driving lessons for little miss;)or daddy’s little helper, following him around wherever he goes! Little man loves to be in the middle of everything, especially if it involves “twactows!”

Hope you enjoyed this month’s 10 on 10! Now head on over to the next stop in the circle – Amanda of Gingersnap Photographs.

Featured Product | Storyboards {Gallery & Styrene Mount}

Most people are not familiar with what a storyboard is when they look over my investment guide. So, I thought I would do a little post to let you see for yourself what it is, as well as the various options you have when purchasing one from me. I offer both gallery mount & styrene mount storyboards – each are beautiful but quite different, as you will see. Storyboards are a perfect way to put together a collage of images to tell the “story” of your session & are available in many standard photographic sizes (some may not be listed in my investment guide – I can do custom quotes).

Introducing the Gallery Mount Storyboard…

The gallery mount below is a 10×20. These are a photographic print fused to 3/4″ thick MDF & sealed. The edges are beveled & come in either a white (shown) or black finish.

The beauty of gallery mounts? They do not need a frame to look complete. They come with a keyhole in the back for hanging, or they would look fantastic sitting on a shelf or desk easel!

Now to Introduce the Styrene Mount Storyboard…

The styrene mount below is an 8×16. These are also a photographic print, but instead of being mounted on MDF, they are mounted on a piece of styrene board, which is much thinner. This makes framing an option for these particular storyboards. You could also place them on a desk easel or even hang them frameless with those handy little Command Strips!

Contact me today to book your session & purchase your own storyboard! They make perfect gifts, too.;)

Amy + Brandon {Simplicity Session} | Knoxville, TN Couple & Headshot Photographer

I have been sitting on this session for almost two months now – bursting at the seams to share! These two are dear friends of mine & have been since high school. I absolutely adore them, & working with them is seriously a dream! When Amy contacted me for a “10 years together” session with her husband, Brandon, along with some headshots & running shots, I jumped at the chance, knowing it would be an awesome session. And boy, was I right!

It has been kept under wraps while Amy put the finishing touches on her new blog – Coffee, Scarves, & Running Shoes. Her mission in this new venture is “to inspire women to live happier, healthier lives by sharing my own experiences in fitness, cooking, hobbies, beauty and style, and balancing my life.” I have had the honor of reading her first blog post, which is part of a larger series on how she has become a runner, & I am so excited to see more as the days pass! Her blog will not only cover her personal experiences in running but also trying new hobbies, crafts, recipes, gardening projects, beauty products, and so much more. It is definitely a “must add” to your regular reading list!

On to the session…

We met up at Ijams Nature Center on a nice but overcast afternoon in the middle of March. I was not expecting any real color given the time of year. However, I was pleasantly surprised when I found a large section of gorgeous yellow blooming forsythia bushes! I knew those had to be incorporated into the session…it was simply a must!

How cute are these two?!

Some headshots for her new blog…

Plus something a little different for me – running shots…

Now what are you waiting for?! Head over to Amy’s blog & be inspired…

Jennifer - I love everything about this session! The first image is just to die for! Fantastic work!

Amy - I’m so blessed to have someone so talented to help me begin this journey in the blog world! The photos are beautiful, creative, and professional. They took my blog to a new level. The pictures of Brandon and me are so special and capture a special time in our lives. Thank you so much for the amazing work and support!

Emma’s New Specs | Knoxville, TN Child Photographer

Another personal post this week, as it has been an eventful one already! Besides visiting potential schools for little miss to attend (with another visit for her today!), Emma has added something new & shiny to her wardrobe accessories – brand new glasses!

Now, this is probably not many people’s dream accessory & will take some adjustment time for her, but I think she looks pretty darn cute in her new specs! The eye exam visit itself we will skip – mainly because I forgot my camera (I know – how is that even possible?!) & the fact that it was quite dramatic after having gone through the exam & still having to have her eyes dilated. No.fun.at.all. So, we move on to today when we went back to pick up her new brown with pink polka dots glasses.

We had to wait for a bit. iPhones are great for keeping kids busy (as are naps, which Branson decided to take in the stroller)…

She was a little excited…

As well as a little apprehensive…

Adjustments were made…

Then the big reveal.

Contemplating.

Still a little unsure of the whole ordeal…

Maybe they are not so bad after all!
